I am an experienced English language educator who is passionate about quality education. I taught for 8 years in a primary school and a total of 23 years in three different secondary schools. My career as an educator has been centered on teaching English to high school students. This would include preparing Forms 4 and 5 students for their SPM examinations. I am also familiar with the IGCSE English as First Language syllabus and have used some of the materials in my lesson preparation. Apart from that I have been an examiner for both the written SPM English and MUET English (Form 6). In addition I have also had 3 years of experience tutoring English for Oral and Written Communication to working adults at Open University Malaysia. The academic journey of my life, from obtaining a Teaching Certificate (Teaching English as a Second language) to achieving a PhD (English Language Studies), has made me a firm advocate of lifelong learning.
