EXPERIENCE: A dedicated teacher with more than 15 years of teaching, tutoring and lecturing experience. Ex-college lecturer. Currently the Head of Mathematics Department teacher with an international school in Shah Alam. TUTORING APPROACH 9/10 students can master the concepts that they have studied in school, but only 1/10 can answer exam question well. Why? This is simply because students are not familiar with exam format & lack of self-practice in answering maths exam questions. Remember, maths is not a reading subject! Therefore, my approach in teaching maths is by using "non-text book" teaching. Students have gone through the textbook with their teachers in school and there is no point repeating something that the students don't understand. I will start a particular topic with basic concepts and directly go through the past years exam question paper. This will shape the students' skills & confidence to sit for their major exams.
