I believe that this post represents an excellent opportunity for me to develop my academic career. I am currently teaching at KDU University College, Penang. I have experienced working with adults (age 30-35), preschool, foreign and diploma students. I have learned how to best teach each age group. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve created a scope and sequence of learning activities using university course objectives, curriculum standards, and student learning goals. I’ve even developed course materials, assessments, projects, and a syllabus for each course in English language studies during the semester. I’ve even conducted lectures each day for undergraduate and graduate-level courses on a variety of topics related to English language (Currently conducted online). On top of that, every semester I set English language examination papers in all four skills (reading. writing, listening & speaking) to test international and local students’ language proficiency level. (currently done online). Furthermore, I do apply various teaching strategies in my learning and teaching process such as cooperative learning, peer tutoring and differentiated learning. This creates a challenging and fun learning environment for students. I even use multimodality approach to teach students such as videos, slides, graphics and audio. I incorporated both traditional method as well as current technologies in the class. For instance, hands on materials, Kahoot, Quizzizz, Bambozzled, Flipgrid and a lot more educational websites. This made lessons more interesting. In each position I have held, I try to deliver the information in a fun and interesting manner to aid students’ grasp on the material and to hold their interest. Besides that, I am an effective teacher with a knack for making complex concepts easily understandable. My presentation style and speaking voice are clear concise and to the point. I am approachable and friendly and my students relate well to me. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher/lecturer who will make a positive contribution.
