I have been tutoring students as a part time job since I was in college. I have also hosted group peer studies as well. I have taught a group of students at a tuition centre and also one-on-one classes. I personally prefer teaching students in a small group of 3-4 as I have found that studying in a group has proven to be more effective due to peer-to-peer coaching. Students (or parents) who are interested in one-on-one tutor classes must make sure that the student have the patience and diligence to put in extra effort beyond school hours. My passion is to help students perform at their best and to fill in the gaps of our public education system. My role as a tutor is not only to teach from the school syllabus but also to help students appreciate the importance of learning. Besides preparing students for exams, I have also coached graduating secondary school students in college enrollment. I guide them in exploring options for tertiary education.
