I enjoy helping students understand their subjects clearly, build strong foundations and develop confidence in applying what they learn. My lessons combine clear explanations, practical examples and focused examination preparation, while allowing students to learn at a pace that is comfortable for them. I hold a PhD in Economics, an MSc in Economics & Finance from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Alongside teaching, I have more than 35 years of professional experience in economics, banking, finance and business, including senior roles with Bank Negara Malaysia, AmBank Group and the National Economic Council, Economic Planning Unit (EPU). This experience allows me to bring real-world perspectives into the classroom and help students see how the concepts they learn are applied beyond their textbooks. Above all, I believe good teaching is about connecting with the student, explaining things clearly and creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, learning and progressing with confidence.
