I have been teaching at International schools for over 3 decades and the IGCSE Curriculum in particular for over 10 years. Over the years, I have gained a lot of experience in my field of expertise and given that my writing and exam approach skills are unique, I believe that students will benefit from my exposure, fluency and in-depth knowledge of examination criteria My lessons always begin with a short Q & A Session to ascertain learner's prior knowledge of the subject matter. In this interactive time, I am able to gauge the student's wants and needs, their weaknesses and strengths which I use as a starting point for my lesson. My students are encouraged to ask questions about their work - and the marking criteria which I have used to grade their past work. We then work on the essays together and I prefer to give instantaneous feedback on the structure, writing style and language features for re-drafting.
