I have worked as a teacher and lecturer for many years. The bulk of my experience is with schools, where the principal subjects were English and Literature. In these schools I was the head of the department for English Language and Literature. I sat on exam panels and headed teams of examiners for public exams. I am, in other words, familiar with the requirements of English Language exams in national schools and the preparation for the same. However, I have also worked in colleges and universities and train students in other exams like MUET, IELTS, SAT and so on if there is a request. Where time permits, I add a reading component to the tuition session to build up the student's foundation. I prescribe carefully graded readers to match the student's existing level and regularly monitor his or her progress to build up structural and idiomatic facility in the language.
